Letter from the Director
Since our founding in 2005, Isthmus Training Institute
(ITI) has issued over 500 certificate to seamen under the STCW Convention. As
soon as we received our authorization from
the Panama Maritime Authority, we
have been contracted by two cruise line companies to conduct training onboard
for their staff and crew.
Our vision is to establish Regional Training Centers (RTC) worldwide to promote our services
and be able to offer existing or new crewmembers and shipboard staff the
opportunity to receive quality training and certification to be able to work
onboard vessel. These RTC are staffed by professional seamen with years of
experience in the maritime field and have had special training in order to fully
comply with the Standards required by the
STCW.
ITI has been constantly
improving its scope of courses we have been approved by the Panama Maritime
Authority to conduct all courses available under the STCW, from the Basic
training to upgrade to Master license. This full scope of certification will
assist seamen and shipping companies to maintain a highly qualified Officers,
Seamen and staff serving on board their vessels.
